About Melvin Vieira

Melvin is a seasoned real estate professional with licenses in CA & MA since 1989. He has been working in the Greater Boston area & suburbs since 1996, giving him an in-depth understanding of the local real estate market. Melvin has held numerous leadership positions within the Greater Boston Association of Realtors, including Past-President (2022), President-Elect, VP & Treasurer. He is also a Federal Political Coordinator for the National Association of Realtors since 2019. Additionally, he has served on the boards of various local organizations, including the Massachusetts Association of Realtors Government Affairs Committee, Urban Land Institute, YouthBuild Boston, Youth Enrichment Services, Codman Square NDC, Urban Bankers & the Local Boston Housing Chapter of the N.A.A.C.P.

As an experienced Realtor, Educator & Trainer, Melvin has been consulting on a wide range of real estate topics, from home sales & new construction to city planning. He has had the opportunity to teach Urban Land Planning to Grad Students, Undergrad Students, Elected officials & High School Students. He has been teaching first-time homebuyer seminars since 2001 & is one of the instructors at several housing organizations, including MAHA, Nuestra Comunidad Development Corporation, WATCH CDC, Urban Edge & Boston Home Center. Here, he imparts his knowledge of what to look for when selecting a real estate agent & the dos & don’ts when buying or selling a house, as well as various homebuyer programs.

Melvin has also been an advocate for housing issues & has testified in front of the Mass State Senate & Boston City Council. He has helped draft several Bills & Policies around housing issues (Local & Federal). He has held senior positions at reputable real estate companies, including C-21 Coast Properties, CA, South Bay Brokers, CA The DeWolfe Companies, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, MA, C-21 Shawmut Prop, MA, RE/MAX Landmark & presently @ RE/MAX Destiny.
